What is burundanga drug ?

Today i received an email from a colleague regarding Burundanga Drug that been used thru visiting / name cards..

Burundanga is a kind of voodoo powder obtained from a Colombian local plant of the nightshade family, a shrub called barrachera, or "drunken binge", causes victims to lose their will and memory, sometimes for days.

This drug it can be found in anti-nausea and anti-smoking patches, as well as in the pupil-dilating eye drops found at your ophthalmologist’s. Many of the crimes happened at clubs or bars, where the victim had the drug slipped into their drink, and then awoke the next day to find themselves robbed or worse. So kind of like a roofie, except it’s way more easily obtained and can cause hallucinations and paralysis (not to mention drooling).

The good news is that it seems unlikely the business-card story is true, since it’d be difficult to get enough of the drug just through skin contact.

Burundanga (scopolamine) is tasteless and highly soluble in liquids. Effects may include: Disorientation – Trance-like state – Retrograde amnesia

Risk Reduction Tips ...

• Be alert to the behavior of friends. Let them know that using drugs to manipulate someone into sexual activity is criminal behavior that hurts everyone
• Anyone can be at risk, so use the “buddy system”. Look out for your friends and ask them to do the same for you.
• Don’t leave drinks unattended and don’t accept open container drinks from anyone. Don’t drink anything that has an unusual taste or appearance.
• If you suddenly become ill (i.e. dizzy, uncoordinated etc.), or notice someone who has become ill, seek medical help immediately.

PULAU PANGKOR.

My hometown is at Ayer Tawar, Perak, 20 min to Pulau Pangkor Island. I lived there almost 19 years yet still i didn't discover Pulau Pangkor fully...hehehehehe *wat a shame*

Planning to *jalan-jalan Pangkor on 30 Dec with my housemates.

Pantai Pasir Bogak, here where we gonna stay. A few kilometers away from Pangkor Town on the West side of the island. All along the beach there are open-air food-stalls offering specialties such as barbecued squids, satay and fish crisps. ermmmmmm

Places I Have To See Before I Die......

I love to travel, that's why i have a list where i wan to go/visit before i die. Some of the places i consider as great, incredible places.....

• Japan - a country of islands, the world's second largest economy,ermmm i must learn the language 1st. Can i climb mount Fuji? It's said that about 300,000 people try to climb Mt. Fuji every year and that 30-40% of them are foreign visitors . Or shall I just enjoy the Japanese Onsen Spa.
  
  
• India- as a Indian who live out of India, its a wish to visit India. Taj Mahal, temples, ayurveda, Goa, Kerala, Rajasthan, New Delhi, Mumbai.ermmm anything else that i missed....?
  

• Bora Bora Island, territory of France in the Pacific Ocean- Paradise, that what i can say about this place. I love sea & island, Bora Bora is the best choice for me.

• Machu Picchu, Peru - i love world history, i believe that history creates man today. M achu Picchu (meaning "Old Peak" in Quechua languange) is a previously lost Incan city high in the Andes Mountains. Know as The Gateway of the Sun, Machu Picchu is a great place to visit as Its architecture is an incredible testament to the sophistication of the Incan Empire. FUH..... Surya's movie. A movie by Gautam Menon ( his movie with Surya- khaka khaka was a BIG hit). So the expectation for this movie is high... this movie is a personal tribute from Gautham Menon to his father

okie... this how the story goes.....Krishnan (Surya) past away, Suriya (Surya) - an army major currently on a rescue mission received a call regarding the matter...On his way to the mission's location the flashbck begins......

Suriya recalls how his mother Malini (Simran) used to tell him how his father wows her ....through a wonderful flashback sequence, then with Suriya's younger years where he fell in love with his 1st gf Meghna (Sameera Reddy). * watch this movie for the rest*

Watch this movie deepavali night @ Sitiawan theater with my family...sigh! i almost slept in theater....

Okie this movie, Aegan most waited movie for Ajith-fans. Raju sundram's movie, Yuvanshankar's music and Nayanthara as Ajith's pair. The movie begin with Ajith (with beard) CB CID officer , who bumps off a don in Hong Kong. He comes to Indian with a mission, putting an end to a notorious gangster John Chinappa (Suman), searched by Interpol.

John Chinnappa is behind his ex-associate Ram Prasad (Devan), who becomes an approver with police. Fearing Chinappa, Ram goes on hiding. Shiva disguises his identity only join the college and protect Priya. The college has Jayaram as college principal and his aide Sathyan evoking laughter. Narain (Navdeep) studies in the same college romances Priya. Eventually it is learnt that Narain is none but Shiva's brother.

Nayanthara comes as the college's lecturer, dressing was out..... since when a college lecturer wears saree as she does. Now days Nayan's main concern is to show her skin as much as she could i guess.

Movie: 1 star

• This year Deepavali was great. Spend a week with my family members, my deepavali start frm Friday(24/10/08). My brother came frm Perak (my h'town) to KL, then we went to JB to fetch my sister who is studying in Pasir Gudang. We came back to KL the same day.
• 25/10/08.. Deepavali journey continues frm KL to Perak. Started @ 10:30am reach home @ 1:30pm.... In between this 3 hours, i guess i received around 10 calls frm my youngest sister Parimala asking where r v..... she excited that all her Sisters & brother coming back home....
• 26/10/08... Last minute Deepavali shopping @ hometown. Helping mom to clean the house. This year Parimala & Pavitara (my sis) help me with the rangoli. Make me realise that my sisters is growing up...(twins is now 14 years old)
• 27/10/08---DEEPAVALI...... as usual starts with oil bath, prayers @ home, of course after that is the ang pow time. After that we went to nearby temple. After having some ponggal & greet all the Ayer tawaries @ temple we went bck home. This year father is doing the open house on Deepavali day itself.. After having b'fast, work starts. The cater fellas cm around 12pm. Guest start pouring frm 12:30pm, most of them are my father's colleagues and the neighbours. At last @ 5:30pm I finally have my own sweet time. At night we watch Aagen, Ajith's latest movie..(review after this).
• 28/10/08- Second day, suppose going out today but i can't, my brother's friends came down for lunch. Mogana (my second sister) going back to JB today.
• 29-31/10/08 - Spend maximum time with my family, going out to friends & relatives hse. Watch the movie Seval(Barath's movie).
• 01/11/08 - Time to go KL.... :(
• 02/11/08 - @ KL. Deepavali mood didn't stop @ hometown. Here in KL, we had a little Deepavaali celebration too....
• 03/11/08 - AFTER A WEEK, BACK TO WRK...
• 07/11/08 - I had an internal interview today for the Operation Specialist position... mmm
